Manufacturing Engineer Technologies Location: Maxton, NC (or Rockingham, NC) – Salary range: $60,700.00 – $83,400.00 Job Summary As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer you will support safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost‑reduction objectives through continuous improvement of plant manufacturing processes. You will support manufacturing tasks and carry out assigned projects using Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering techniques. Responsibilities Operations : Complete workplace improvements, methods, and layouts. Work closely with leadership and associates to determine feasibility of improvements/projects and provide accurate data. Support leadership, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and machine and workforce requirements. Technical Support : Complete time studies, line balancing, and cost estimates; develop and implement standard work instructions; analyze reports and data to recommend changes in methods, tooling, or equipment; analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, equipment layout, and workspace for efficiency, safety, and ergonomics. Projects & Continuous Improvement : Coordinate projects from inception through completion; develop capital appropriation requests (E201) with supporting EVA calculations; confer with vendors for product specifications and equipment, materials, or parts; support and expand Lean culture; participate in other projects related to plant goals. Qualifications Ability to support and work 2nd Shift – strongly preferred. Strong problem‑solving and data analysis skills (8D, 5Y, statistics, etc.). Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word; ability to develop summary graphs, tables, and pivot tables. Experience with one‑piece flow, balancing, pacing, Visual factory, KPIs, pacing boards. Solid foundation in manufacturing financial metrics – working capital, inventory turns, productivity, efficiency, order fill rate, on‑time delivery, etc. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles. Experience in assembly and/or sheet‑metal fabrication manufacturing environments is a plus. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Experience with design‑for‑manufacturing methods. Ability to direct, mentor, and train operators and others in a team‑based environment. Understanding of engineering revisions, change notices, deviations, and their manufacturing impact. Understanding of inventory control techniques and BOM accuracy implications. Collaborative cross‑functional teamwork and multiple‑project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication – ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field – strongly preferred.
