Expert Connections -Charleston, SC, United States Our client, a tier 1 automotive supplier is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer at their plant in Charleston, SC . Tasks Analyze safety, quality, maintenance, and operational reports to drive improvements Optimize equipment performance, productivity, cost, and safety Develop and maintain process documentation (Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, work instructions) Define and standardize work processes Implement lean tools (5S, Kanban, poka-yoke, visual management, single-piece flow) Apply structured problem-solving methods (A3, 8D, 5Y, DMAIC, PDCA, etc.) Support new equipment launches and special projects Program and troubleshoot CNC machines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet IATF 16949, ISO, and VDA standards Requirements BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or AS with relevant experience) 3–5 years in automated or semi-automated manufacturing Strong knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and CNC processes Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams Experience with PLC logic and Siemens-based controllers Familiarity with Tier I/Tier II automotive standards Experience with vision systems, torque systems, force monitoring, and automation equipment Analytical, structured problem-solver with strong communication skills Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and advanced manufacturing methods #J-18808-Ljbffr
