Project Engineer II - Power Tools, PSE at Milwaukee Tool. This role focuses on applying engineering and project management to execute critical design updates to keep products best-in-class and aligned with user needs. Lead small to medium scale engineering projects and provide engineering support on mid-level complexity projects under the supervision of the Project Leader. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality & Reliability Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Service & Support, Marketing, and other departments. Lead tradeoff discussions focusing on Performance, Cost, and Schedule. Assist in developing comprehensive plans to meet project targets. Monitor and report project progress with regular updates to senior management and project team. Visit manufacturing facilities and suppliers to provide troubleshooting analysis as required. Request and perform tests per established procedures. Interpret data and make design recommendations, including but not limited to: CAE simulations, material and heat treatment selections, tolerance analysis, lubricant considerations, statics and dynamics, noise and vibration analysis; interact with suppliers to develop part and product specifications within process capabilities. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent; Mechanical Engineering preferred. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Ability to travel internationally and domestically to global manufacturing and service facilities ( Ability to manage several simultaneous projects. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of engineering materials used in power tools and understanding of manufacturing processes. Self-starter with a strong problem-solving mentality. Understanding of DFMA and cost drivers related to materials, labor, and overhead. PMP/CAPM certification is a plus but not required. Benefits
