General Purpose This mission‑critical, full‑time position is open due an internal promotion. Responsible for providing reliability designs and development support for components, products, equipment and systems.
Principle Accountabilities
Provide reliability specific inputs to system architecture.
Create, maintain and execute Product Assurance Plans.
Run or support DFMEA sessions.
Provide MTBF analysis.
Ensure system compliance with reliability budgets, standards and regulations.
Provide reviews to the product design engineer to ensure Design for Reliability.
Oversee product verification and characterization.
Provide inputs to product performance verification and reliability testing.
Manage test suites for EVT, DVT, HALT, RDT and ESS.
Support the Quality Manager in preparation for and execution of audits.
Job Requirements
BS degree in related field with some related experience - OR - equivalent experience from data center industry. Typically requires 2 years of related experience, or MS degree with some related experience.
Must have 3D modeling, experience designing switchgear, low voltage backup units.
Experience with Vault, a plus.
Demonstrates technical skills and understanding of design principles and practice in the area(s) of specialty. Has or acquires the ability to perform the major job responsibilities using preferred tools (including design, simulation, characterization N, verification and office productivity tools).
Has or acquires the ability to perform the major job responsibilities using preferred processes (including ISO, customer interface tools for both voice and cyber communication and data exchange, confidential disclosure and financial / procurement).
Performs tasks with light supervision Also has ability to perform junior‑level design tasks independently.
Must have proven ability to
Read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Effectively communicate with employees, managers and customers.
Apply advanced mathematical concepts and apply mathematical operations to analyze and ensure the robustness of assigned designs.
Develop basic models for simulation of simple components or subsystems.
