Geisinger Medical Center – Janet Weis Children's Hospital is seeking an accomplished and visionary physician leader to serve as Division Director of Pediatric Neurology within the Department of Pediatrics. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a nationally recognized division committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research which consists of 10 physician providers and 3 advanced practitioners. 504 Discharges for Peds Neurology in 2025 CHOP Affiliations: Pediatric GI, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric ID, Pediatric Hem/Onc, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Nephrology, Radiology 36 med/surg beds, 15 PICU beds, 41 NICU beds at Geisinger Medical Center Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Pediatric Neurology Division. Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that promotes innovation, excellence, and professional development. Lead recruitment, retention, and mentorship of faculty and staff. Clinical Excellence

Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Oversee subspecialty programs including epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular disorders, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and sleep. Expand access to care through outreach, telemedicine, and partnerships. Education & Training

Direct educational programs for medical students and residents in our Child Neurology Residency Program. Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional standards. Promote faculty engagement in teaching and mentorship. Research & Scholarship

Support and grow research initiatives. Facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and funding opportunities. Promote scholarly productivity and national visibility of the division. Administration

Manage division operations including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation. Represent the division in departmental and institutional leadership forums. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Qualifications

MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree. Board certification in Pediatric Neurology. Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania. Academic credentials commensurate with appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level. Preferred Attributes

Minimum of five years of clinical and/or leadership experience in an academic medical center Demonstrated success in program development, faculty mentorship, and strategic planning. Strong record of scholarly achievement. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical care, education, and research. Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required) Certification(s) and License(s)
