The Business Development Representative is focused on selling the MoLo truckload service line (operating under ArcBest) and is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized (SMB) customers across North America. This position offers the opportunity to target various industries within the truckload market, including food & beverage, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, and retail. The role will prospect new customers and sell MoLo, An ArcBest Truckload Service, while collaborating with various departments, including other ArcBest service lines, to provide integrated transportation solutions. The focus is on identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and providing tailored logistics solutions that meet the unique needs of each customer. The Business Development Representative will be the primary point of contact for customer interactions, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery. The position is located in the MoLo office in Chicago. Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities, sales interactions, and lead statuses in the customer relationship management (CRM) software. Continuously monitor industry changes, competitor activities, and market conditions to refine sales strategies and approaches. Prospect and generate leads through various channels (cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, LinkedIn, etc.) to identify potential customers. Proactively identify issues and resolve problems to uphold the commitment to service. Other duties and projects, as assigned. Qualify and nurture leads by assessing customer needs, providing consultation, and focusing on selling MoLo, an ArcBest Truckload Service. Collaborate cross-functionally with carrier sales, yield management, account development, legal, accounting, and other ArcBest service lines to provide a comprehensive solution for customers. Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers in SMB organizations. Own the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to assisting and overseeing the revenue collection process as needed. Requirements

Education: Bachelor\'s Degree, preferred Experience: Previous customer sales, operations, or service experience, preferred Ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail Ability to negotiate and reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all stakeholders Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills Excellent time management skills to prioritize and optimize workload to meet deadlines Highly coachable and eager to learn Strong listening and communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to effectively connect and engage with customers Sales-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset Competencies

Work Hours: Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload Location: In office for training then hybrid with 3 days a week required to be in the Chicago MoLo office, located at 167 Green Street, Fulton Market District, Chicago Compensation: This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
