Assembly Front End Engineer
Murrietta Circuits is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Front End Engineer to join our team in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent, along with 1-5 years of experience in PCB Assembly. The Assembly Front End Engineer will be responsible for reading PCB Assembly drawings and bills of materials, and has full knowledge of Assembly Processes & Techniques. Excellent computer skills and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
Location: Anaheim, CA 92807
Base pay range $50,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Use internal system to quote jobs, review drawings, bill of materials, and CAD & Gerber data to generate quotes.
Validate data for accuracy, review drawings and customer specifications, identify errors or potential risks before releasing assembly instructions.
Plan job processes, view bills of materials, interpret drawings and customer data, order stencils and necessary tooling.
Review and sign off on internal ECRs (Engineering Change Requests).
Recommend and implement process improvements, including specialized tooling and materials.
Work closely with Material Review Board for disposition of circuit boards and record incidents.
Problem solve and troubleshoot on the assembly floor.
Provide assembly staff with process support.
Skills & Qualifications
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent.
1-5 years experience in PCB Assembly.
Reads PCB Assembly drawings and bills of materials.
Full knowledge of Assembly Processes & Techniques.
Excellent computer skills.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600.
Experience with Aegis Factory Logix a plus.
CAD/CAM tools knowledge and software usage a plus.
