We are seeking a hard‑working, mission‑mindful Network Field Engineer to support this mission‑critical program. You will work with exceptionally talented professionals in a collaborative team environment to implement and maintain vital telecommunication systems in the WMA and field. The ideal candidate has a robust background in networks and field experience.

You will install and maintain a host of today’s latest communication systems and complex networks. The selected candidate will work in remote autonomous environments across the globe and collaborate with a diverse cadre of IT Operational Specialists, LAN/WAN Engineers, Facility Management, and Logistical professionals. Although your primary role will be to install and maintain communications systems/networks, you will also be expected to provide measurable input into new products, processes, systems, and/or operational plans that will impact overall functional results.

Job Description

Deploy, install, and maintain servers, routers, switches, telecommunications systems, UPS systems, and desktop PC hardware in support of customer IT infrastructure and enterprise operations.

Contribute procedural input to planning, preparation, and execution of large projects. Manage installation and team while at the field site.

Complete complex assignments without direction and coach junior field engineers, delegating work during installations.

Troubleshoot difficult and complex problems while in the field to ensure successful installation.

Ensure systems are implemented on schedule.

Evaluate sites for equipment installation.

Install applicable equipment, including racks if needed.

Perform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers.

Install and connect applicable cables.

Coordinate pick‑up and delivery of equipment.

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs, with emphasis on expertise, training, and actual work experience over sheer years.

Experience in IP related services (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, SIP) – desired.

Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches – desired.

Experience with UPS systems and AC/DC power systems, including installation/connection – desired.

Working knowledge of CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cable and connectors; ability to fabricate required equipment.

Experience using Remedy, Visio, and MS Office.

Physical requirement: frequent handling, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl; ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph required.

Up to 50% travel flexibility required.

Pay Range Salary is competitive and varies by geographic location, contract category, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Proposed range:

$84,900 - $178,400 .
