General Anesthesiologist Job Description:The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion. It is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. We are one of the largest private employers in Miami-Dade County, home to more than 16,000 faculty and staff from all over the world.**Employment Requirements:**While research experience is not required to apply for this position, it is highly desirable.**Job Description:**Generalists should feel comfortable performing various cases, including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants.
Generalists are NOT required to perform cardiac cases or treat small children (<2 years of age). Limited skills in regional anesthesia and the ability to anesthetize older children are helpful.**Compensation**Compensation depends on years of experience and determination of professorial rank at the time of hiring.
