We are looking for a DevOps Lead to manage and oversee the DevOps and Production Support engagement for a dynamic Java-based project. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers while deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, enhancing microservices architecture, and ensuring a seamless production support workflow.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide technical initiatives while driving process improvements to enhance the team's operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead DevOps & Production Support: Take a hands-on leadership role in both DevOps and production support, working directly with clients and managing day-to-day technical operations. CI/CD Pipeline Deployment: Develop, deploy, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Jenkins, TFS, and Git. Microservices Development & Deployment: Lead the development and deployment of microservices using Spring Boot and Java technologies. User Story Execution: Work with stakeholders to break down user stories, and ensure that the team executes on these stories with high-quality code. Support Engagement: Provide on-call support and contribute to issue resolution and process improvement on a rotational basis. Architectural Contributions: Contribute to architectural decisions and design-level initiatives to ensure the robustness and scalability of the systems. Experience
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Java Fullstack Development, including Spring Boot, SQL, stored procedures, Angular/React JS, and microservices. 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TFS, Git. At least 2 years of experience leading a Fullstack Java Development/Support team. Technical Skills
Expertise in microservices development and deployment. Strong understanding of DevOps processes and tools like Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline setup, and Version control tools (Git/TFS). Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes. SQL proficiency, with experience in writing stored procedures. Solid experience in frontend development using Angular/React JS. Preferred Qualifications
Containerization: Experience with container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand customer requirements and technical challenges. Process Improvement: Proven ability to drive and contribute to process improvements within a DevOps environment. Architecture Contributions: Experience in contributing to system architecture and providing guidance on technical design decisions. Certifications
Certifications in DevOps or related fields (preferred but not required). Kubernetes or OpenShift certifications (preferred).
