Physician - Family Medicine

in Chilton, WI.
Specialty: Family Practice - Primary Care. 1.0 FTE with 36 patient contact hours and 4 hours of administrative time per week. Clinic hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with providers working an additional 2 hours outside of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On‑call schedule: 1 day on‑call per week. EMR: EPIC. Facility: Calumet Clinic on the campus of Ascension‑Calumet Hospital. This location is not in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) or Medically Underserved Area/Population (MUA).
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
Recommend, participate in, and help ensure the success of efforts to improve cost‑effectiveness and quality of care for patients.
Accept patient referrals from other physicians; act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, as necessary.
Participate in academic programs such as medical education and research as requested.
Provide documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
Participate in inpatient and outpatient specialty consultations, which may include on‑call schedules.
Qualifications
Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Physician in Family Medicine.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
Licensure/Certification from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire; licensure verified by the local Credentialing Office.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
