Position Summary We are hiring an experienced RF Engineer III (5G) to lead advanced RF design and optimization for next‑generation wireless networks. This role focuses on Samsung 4G/5G systems and cutting‑edge features like beam sweeping, MIMO over NR, and anchor leg switching.
Detailed Job Description As an RF Engineer III, you will work on 5G network design, drive testing, and performance analysis. You’ll troubleshoot live network issues, analyze UE logs, and generate detailed reports (FIT/FOA/FFA). This position requires strong expertise in LTE/NR air interface, signaling analysis, and advanced RF features across Sub‑6, cmWave, and mmWave bands. You’ll collaborate with field teams and contribute to high‑impact projects shaping the future of wireless connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Perform RF design and optimization for Samsung 4G/5G systems
Conduct drive testing, call flow analysis, and report generation
Identify NR events (A1, A2, B1, etc.) and correlate with L3 signaling
Work with advanced 5G features: beam sweeping, MIMO over NR, anchor leg switching
Generate FIT/FOA/FFA reports and detailed performance analysis
Troubleshoot live network issues and coordinate with field teams
Perform UE log analysis to identify network performance bottlenecks
Required Qualifications & Skills
Prior experience with Samsung 4G/5G systems (PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP)
Strong understanding of LTE/NR Air Interface and 5G Architecture (NSA, SA, ENDC)
Proficiency in drive testing and signaling analysis
Experience with Sub‑6, cmWave, and mmWave bands
Ability to generate detailed performance reports and troubleshoot complex issues
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with RF planning tools (ATOL, Planet, EDX SignalPro)
Knowledge of VoLTE and IMS testing
Experience with automation frameworks for RF analysis
Advanced scripting for log parsing and KPI reporting
Telecom certifications (e.g., Samsung 5G Specialist, CCNP Wireless)
