We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s dynamic design team in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about creating innovative, efficient, and sustainable building systems.
Position Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial, healthcare, multifamily, and federal building projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, hands‑on Revit experience, and a solid understanding of MEP coordination and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Design HVAC and plumbing systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Develop construction documents, mechanical plans, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines, architects, and contractors.
Participate in project meetings and assist in design presentations.
Provide technical support during construction, including review of submittals and RFIs.
Ensure all work meets project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in mechanical design within an MEP consulting or engineering firm.
Proficiency in Revit (required) and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience with commercial, healthcare, multifamily, and federal projects.
Familiarity with mechanical codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy modeling practices.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
EIT or PE license preferred but not required.
