San Diego law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Business, Tort, and Insurance practice groups.
The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience handling complex business and tort litigation matters, excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to manage cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of civil litigation, including client consultation, discovery, law and motion, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery, and conduct legal research to support case strategy.
Prepare witnesses and experts for testimony and handle expert consultation and analysis.
Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Provide clients with practical legal advice, case updates, and recommendations.
Utilize electronic discovery tools and ensure compliance with state and federal court procedures.
Maintain consistent communication with partners and clients regarding case progress and developments.
Qualifications
Active California Bar membership in good standing.
Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience (business, tort, or insurance preferred).
Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills.
Excellent communication and client management abilities.
Proficiency with discovery platforms, electronic filings, and case management systems.
