Agile Scrum Master w/Top Secret Clearance
A3 Consulting is seeking an experienced and tenacious Agile Scrum Master to lead the process and team dynamics for the mission‑critical DSATS program. The person in the role is responsible for the program’s health, efficiency, and continuous improvement for a team of 10‑18 engineers building a custom Insider Threat application on the ServiceNow platform. If you are a sereant leader who excels at communication, coordination, and driving a team toward its goals, this role is for you. In this job you will:
Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and stay within their timebox. Act as the team's primary "blocker‑remover," proactively identifying and resolving organizational, technical, and bureaucratic impediments. This includes coordinating with DCSA stakeholders (ESD, CSMO, CDAO) and other vendors. Serve as the Agile coach for the development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, self‑organization, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with the government Product Owner to manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well‑defined and "ready" for sprints. You will track and report key metrics like velocity and burndown charts. Shield the development team from external distractions and scope creep, ensuring they can stay focused on the sprint commitment. Qualifications for the role:
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team. Proven experience in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment within a large DoD or Federal program. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or a SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist). Proven experience leading Agile teams in a complex DoD or Federal environment. Expertise in navigating government/contractor bureaucracy to remove impediments and coordinate with external stakeholders. Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Desired Expertise:
Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform or managing a team developing on it. Experience with Insider Threat, personnel security, or case management systems. Familiarity with the RMF/ATO process and how it integrates with an Agile schedule. Clearance Level:
Active Top Secret Location:
Hybrid (must be local to the DC Metropolitan Area) Occasional onsite possible – Crystal City, VA, Springfield, VA, or Ft. Meade Salary Range:
$130,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience and achievement Benefit Information:
