Responsibilities
Provides medical care and treatment to patients; performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions.
Creates treatment strategies to meet identified needs, evaluates responses to nursing and medical interventions.
Responds promptly to patient calls and messages, ensures same‑day completion, and maintains accurate patient and business records.
Observes patients for signs and symptoms of abuse/neglect and reports immediately in accordance with policy.
Recognizes emergencies, responds appropriately, and coordinates plans of care, regularly reviewing these plans and implementing methods to maintain quality of care.
Stays current with all relevant federal and state laws, statutes, or regulations; maintains confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA policies.
Maintains required continuing education hours to assure continued competence.
Demonstrates professional ownership and commitment to core values of guest relations; leads the clinical team and communicates with clinic leadership, escalating issues and presenting solutions.
Assists with safety, environmental, infection control, quality improvement, and regulatory standards; implements standard and transmission‑based precautions; performs hand hygiene; ensures patient safety during clinic visits; reports safety hazards or violations.
Collaborates on hiring, disciplinary action, and termination decisions of clinical personnel; attends daily huddles, staff meetings, provider meetings; participates in ongoing performance improvement activities and initiatives.
Education Qualifications Master’s Degree from an approved NP Program required, or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program (MS‑PAS).
Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Registered Nursing License (RN) from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Current PA License in Louisiana from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
PA Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Skills and Abilities

ICD‑10 and CPT‑4 working knowledge
