Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a visionary and results-driven

Operations Director

to oversee programming at Hope Hall, part of our Behavioral Health & Reentry Services division. This is a senior leadership role focused on long-range planning, operational excellence, program development, and strategic innovation that directly impacts lives and restores communities. We are looking for a mission-aligned leader who can manage complex systems, strengthen community partnerships, and elevate service delivery in a dynamic and evolving environment.

What You’ll Do

Provide leadership and direction across all operational aspects of Behavioral Health & Reentry programs

Drive strategic planning, program development, and long-term goals

Oversee contract compliance, fiscal management, and policy implementation

Evaluate programs and client services to ensure effectiveness and innovation

Supervise and support staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and team development

Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, service providers, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders

Support legislative awareness and advocacy efforts in collaboration with leadership

Conduct off-hour site visits, maintain compliance standards, and improve operational performance

Collaborate with the Program Director on budgeting, planning, and organizational alignment

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum 5 years senior-level supervisory/administrative experience

Proven expertise in budget management, community relations, and staff leadership

Strategic thinking with the ability to assess and improve systems and services

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard data/reporting tools

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet VOA driving standards
