Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2
Sodexo is seeking a full‑time Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2 for Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns, a 206‑bed not‑for‑profit hospital in San Diego, California. The manager will primarily work the 1st shift.
What You’ll Do
Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, working closely with the Infectious Control department.
Collaborate with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director.
Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring
Experience leading and managing a team and developing talent to exceed client and customer expectations in a healthcare housekeeping system.
Preferred experience driving customer service and guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and meet project target dates.
Ability to analyze data, present and communicate effectively to all levels regarding training, hospital committees and change management.
Experience managing projects within agreed timelines.
In‑depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures.
Experience with vendor and contract management, union negotiations and contract negotiations.
Experience improving patient satisfaction and driving full compliance with HCAHPS, local, state and Joint Commission standards.
3‑5 years of prior custodial / housekeeping management experience in a hospital; healthcare experience preferred.
Strong financial acumen and budget‑management experience.
Proficiency with computers and other technology.

Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement – Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience – 2 Years.
Minimum Functional Experience – 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services.
