Overview Support business initiatives globally for bioMérieux’s R&D team. Responsibilities include early‑stage development activities, clinical trials, consortium and collaboration agreements, with a focus on the Molecular Biology franchise and Sequencing activity. Opportunities also exist in microbiology, Immunoassay, and medical affairs. Candidates will work closely with business stakeholders, operate independently in a fast‑paced environment, and collaborate across the bioMérieux organization worldwide.

Primary Duties

Provide legal advice and risk assessment to internal R&D and Medical Affairs clients.

Draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts related to R&D activities, including IVD instruments, clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, IP and development agreements, and consortium collaborations.

Defend bioMérieux’s interests in pre‑litigation and litigation contexts.

Conduct legal research.

Assist with developing, implementing, and improving processes and systems to increase the Legal Department’s efficiency.

Participate in the enhancement and implementation of contractual templates.

Inform and train internal clients.

Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) required.

Admission to the bar in good standing required.

Five years of experience within a corporate environment required, with two years in a Research and Development environment.

Expertise in drafting and negotiating R&D agreements required.

Travel Domestic travel 5% per year. International travel 5–10% per year.
