Are you passionate about positively impacting children’s lives and making a difference in the world of early childhood education? The Goddard School of West Loop is currently seeing an Infant Teacher who would also develop into the role of Director Designee.
Qualifications
Minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education, or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential (see 89 Ill. Adm. Code 50.720(b) and (http://www.ilgateways.com/en/illinois-directorcredential-idc)) or 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management
Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
Meets background check eligibility
The child care director shall be at least 21 years of age
