The Applications Engineer is the interface between customer and sales activities and engineering capabilities to ensure products meet or exceed expectations. The position will support the development of specifications, create all technical documents used by customers, and update or release new features or products. The position will additionally support sales and marketing efforts of all products. This position will be based in Nashua, NH and report to the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Answer existing customer technical questions and provide solutions to identified issues;

Understand sales and customer technical requirements, develop marketing requirements specification; documents to support product proposals and drive products through engineering to final completion;

Advise Sales and Engineering of any product improvement suggestions, new regulations and monitor market trends;

Create Business Opportunity Proposals (BOP’s) and Marketing Requirements Documents (MRD’s) to provide market research and technical specifications for new features or products;

Lead Marketing/Sales/Applications actions for new product launches to include product testing and integration with existing software offerings;

Responding to documentation change requests and successful prioritization;

Clearly articulate and document technical proposals, and statements of work, referenced by new sales quotations;

Support sales initiatives through provision of technical specifications, clean and articulate product quotations, and proposals to ensure successful sales outcomes;

Develop and maintain the Shopify ecommerce site for new product introductions, page setups, copy writing and configuration setups to ensure smooth operation for clients;

Maintain the Zapier API tool between Mailchimp (e‑directs), SalesForce (CRM) and Shopify (ecommerce) sites;

Development of a library of Application notes, Data Sheets & User Manuals;

Develop and publish weekly e‑directs and manage mailing list;

Maintain weekly blog posted on website to drive technical understanding;

Maintain and grow a weekly LinkedIn posting(s) and followers;

All other duties as assigned;

Experience, Skills, and Education

5-7 years of experience as an applications or technical specialist;

A BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering is preferred;

Demonstrated experience in technical writing and documentation control;

Superb writing and grammar skills with strong word processing proficiency;

Experience in sensors and instruments or airflow measurement applications a plus;

Demonstrated skills as a service minded team player with excellent communication and relation building skills;

Adobe InDesign experience required;

Compensation

Annual base salary, depending on candidate’s experience;

3 weeks annual paid vacation;
