Controller Compensation:
$175,000 – $250,000 + Competitive Equity Type:
Full-Time Why This Role Matters
This is a mission-critical hire reporting directly to the Head of Finance. As Controller, you will own the accounting function during a period of rapid growth, M&A activity, and operational expansion. You’ll take the company from early-stage to audit-ready while implementing systems, processes, and controls that support scale. If desired, there is room to take on more strategic responsibilities such as modeling, scenario analysis, and capital allocation as the finance organization matures. What You’ll Do
Lead and prepare the company for future audits, including designing audit-ready processes and documentation. Own consolidations for multiple entities, including recently acquired subsidiaries. Select and implement the right consolidation system/ERP for a multi-entity environment. Identify and correct accounting deficiencies at acquired companies — especially around cost accounting and inventory controls. Oversee all accounting operations including monthly close, reporting, and internal controls. Build and formalize accounting policies, procedures, and systems that support scale. Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership to ensure accurate financial insights and decision-making. What You Bring
Experience as a Corporate Controller or Senior Accounting Leader in a complex, multi-entity business. Deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and consolidations. Strong ERP/financial systems skills; experience selecting or implementing a new system is a plus. CPA required. Ability to distill complex accounting issues into clear guidance for non-finance teams. Strong operational mindset — able to roll up your sleeves and build processes from scratch. Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR. Ideal Background
Candidates from industries with complex inventory and multi-entity consolidations tend to excel here, including aerospace, industrial manufacturing, defense, hardware, and related sectors. Audit backgrounds from Big Four or Mid-Tier firms are strongly preferred. Why You Should Apply
Work with an elite founding team tackling one of the hardest problems in aerospace. Join a company with significant funding, strong traction, and major industry backing. Own the accounting function end-to-end in a role with both immediate impact and long-term strategic growth. Help shape the financial foundation of a company building hardware that will fly on aircraft around the world. Seniority level
