Company A growing payroll services firm serving Brooklyn’s business community across retail, schools, nonprofits, professional services, healthcare, and trades. We provide payroll, time & attendance, tax filing, and compliance services with white-glove onboarding and support.
The Role We’re hiring a
Sales Manager
who has
sold services (not retail/products)
to companies. You’ll
lead and coach a team of 5 , own new-logo and expansion revenue, and run a consultative sales motion tailored to SMBs in Brooklyn.
What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and develop a
team of 5
(field rides, call reviews, deal strategy, weekly 1:1s).
Own full-cycle B2B services sales: prospecting → discovery/ROI → proposal → negotiation → close.
Build a robust
pipeline
and accurate
forecast ; drive KPIs (meetings, proposals, close rates).
Develop
referral channels
(accountants/bookkeepers, community orgs, chambers, networking groups).
Partner with Marketing on events, lunch-and-learns, and local sponsorshipsli>
Ensure smooth handoff to onboarding and early client success.
Stay current on NY payroll/tax and compliance (FLSA, NYS Paid Leave, W-2/1099, multi-state basics).
What You’ll Bring
2–10+ years
of B2B services sales (e.g., payroll/PEO/benefits/HR tech/merchant services/consulting);
2+ years
in a lead/manager role.
Proven quota attainment and deal leadership with SMBs (5–250 employees).
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
CRM proficiency (Salesforce/HubSpot) and data-driven pipeline management.
Nice-to-haves (not required):
Existing Brooklyn SMB network; familiarity with the local Jewish business community and calendar; multilingual (Hebrew/Yiddish/Russian).
