Overview
General Manager of the manufacturing and installation business unit (~225 employees) located in Lake Crystal, MN. Holds full P&L responsibility, sets strategic direction, champions operational excellence, supports the commercial organization, manages capital planning, drives growth initiatives, and oversees cash management. The GM leads manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and front‑line supervisors, ensuring continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and customer and employee satisfaction. The role also provides oversight for all core business functions—finance, marketing, sales, manufacturing, engineering, materials management, quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems—and represents the business and brand to customers and the local community.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a positive business environment centered around the customer.
Continue to develop and maintain a strong leadership team.
Lead the manufacturing fulfillment (manufacturing, up‑fitting, customer service, quality).
Reporting financial results and leading business process improvements.
Managing policy deployment in the areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, on‑time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training and development.
Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and on‑time delivery.
Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects.
Ensures compliance with ISO standards and certifications.
Works with in‑plant and inter‑plant teams to drive operational excellence and process optimization through KPI‑based improvement ideas.
Measures the performance of company goals and standards and establishes targets for improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee relations.

Strong computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in truck equipment manufacturing or an adjacent industry.
Demonstrated success managing full P&L and leading operations.
Strong relationship‑building skills with employees and customers.
Experienced in financial and operational analysis.
Team‑oriented leader with high integrity and strong problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to move throughout the manufacturing facility, including walking, standing and climbing stairs.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work in office and production environments, which may include exposure to noise, dust and varying temperatures.
Requires sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate a computer, review documents and inspect production areas.
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies.
Occasional travel may be required to other company sites, customer locations or industry events.
Additional Job Information Wage expectations: $150,00.000 – $175,000.00 per year, plus bonus opportunity.
Pay: This is an exempt salaried position, and employees are paid on a bi‑weekly basis.
Typical schedule: Five (5) eight‑hour days M‑F.
Location: On site – 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal, MN 56055.
Travel: Up to 5–10%.
