Arcadia University seeks a seasoned academic leader and scholar to serve as the next Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the president, the provost is the University’s chief academic officer and leader of its academic enterprise. The role requires a broad academic vision, a strong background in scholarship and teaching, and a commitment to undergraduate, graduate, online, and global education. The provost works closely with the president, Board of Trustees, vice presidents, deans, faculty, and staff to advance Arcadia’s academic mission.
Key Opportunities Include
Innovative Curricular and Program Development
– Partner across the institution to develop curricula and programs that support traditional undergraduate and graduate learners, degree‑completion students, workforce development learners, and certificate seekers. Foster industry and community partnerships, diverse instructional modalities, and innovative directions in all facets of education.
Optimizing the Undergraduate Curriculum
– Work in partnership to optimize the undergraduate curriculum to best meet the needs of current and future students.
Building Upon and Implementing Arcadia2030 Adaptive Strategy
– Contribute to the Arcadia2030 Adaptive Strategy and partner across campus in its implementation, ensuring a flexible plan that grows with the institution.
Supporting the Campus‑Wide Commitment to Global Education
– Explore deeper global integration across the institution with campus leaders.

The successful candidate will understand the complexities of higher education and navigate a rapidly changing landscape and evolving student needs. Candidates should have a record of building trusted relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community partners, and contribute to an inclusive community wherein all feel valued and empowered. A doctorate or equivalent terminal degree is required, along with a record of teaching and scholarly or creative accomplishments that support a tenure appointment at Arcadia.

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $241,000 – 325,000 with a generous benefits package designed to support physical, mental, and financial wellness.
