Overview The Senior Software Test Engineer will support a large agency dedicated to the safety, health and security of 2.5 million workers. The role involves modernizing the agency’s IT infrastructure and business processes, ensuring high‑quality, effective service to customers. The position is based in CONUS/OCONUS – Olympia, WA and Tumwater, WA.
Responsibilities
Support requirements for program support and lead small work teams or phases of complex projects.
Implement designs and functional specifications, negotiating with and influencing other work teams in solutions development.
Determine and delegate tasks appropriately, managing multiple and competing priorities and tasks within the work team.
Complete complex tasks with minimal guidance while defining, monitoring, and maintaining project plans.
Assist with identifying and estimating project resources and schedules.
Proactively identify and recommend improvements to the testing process, improving efficiencies and reducing costs through adherence to project management methodologies.
Qualifications
5+ years of software testing experience.
Proficient knowledge of general testing tools and technology used, automated testing tools, SQA and CMMi standards.
Ability to solve complex, analytical problems independently.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required with at least three years of work experience in accounting, budget execution, IT, financial system requirements and analysis, financial planning and reporting, auditing, and internal financial controls.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools.
Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
Must have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years.
Travel & Location Travel will be coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. Work will be conducted at Olympia, WA and Tumwater, WA.
