This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team within the Corporate Practice Group, facilitating major deals for financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers. Salary:
$295,000 - $300,000 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Represent a variety of clients in complex commercial finance transactions. Structure, negotiate, and draft comprehensive loan and security agreements. Provide expert advice on secured lending, covering aspects like asset-based lending, cash flow financing, and fund finance. Manage intercreditor and lender agreements, ensuring client interests are protected in multi-party financing arrangements. Collaborate with internal teams to support high-profile finance matters with top-caliber professionalism. Engage in high-level client interactions, offering insightful and strategic legal advice. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school with strong academic performance. Bar Admission in Illinois, or the ability to become admitted in the near future. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in law firm settings, focusing on commercial finance transactions. Proven record of successful acquisition financing and syndicated secured financings. Familiarity with Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience at a large law firm or specialized commercial finance boutique. Background in intercreditor agreements and agreements among lenders. Demonstrated capability in managing complex transactional matters independently. Experience in healthcare financings is an added advantage. Strong client relationship management skills. Eagerness for direct client contact and prominent role in transaction facilitation. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to contribute to team development. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
