Position Summary TRANZACT is seeking a hands‑on data leader who thrives at the intersection of high‑impact analytics, people development, and strategic influence. The Head of Data Science & Analytics (DSA) will shape the future of our data science organization, delivering advanced analytics projects that span the entire sales funnel and all product categories. This role is focused on driving the adoption of data science across marketing and business decisions, not merely providing support to the marketing team.
Core Responsibilities
Develop the DSA team’s project roadmap in alignment with business objectives and strategic opportunities.
Lead a team of five data scientists and analysts to deliver best‑in‑class models and analysis.
Collaborate daily with cross‑functional teams to understand evolving business needs and develop effective analytics solutions.
Execute a model strategy roadmap, continuously improving accuracy and functionality of models and business outcomes.
Drive data science initiatives to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency through personalization and effective targeting.
Deliver projects such as customer audience segmentation, propensity models, and dynamic bidding algorithms.
Serve as an SME for forecasting model development, production, and execution in partnership with Enterprise Data Management and Technology teams.
Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing key insights and conclusions, often to senior leaders.
Support a collaborative, team‑oriented, and client‑focused culture that encourages curiosity and learning.
Champion a growth mindset across the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Extensive data science experience within marketing, including:
Attribution modeling
Audience segmentation, targeting, and measurement (clean‑room experience a bonus)
Campaign lift analysis
Predictive modeling
KPI forecasting and scenario planning
Funnel conversion analysis
Geo performance and market opportunity analysis
Marketing experimentation frameworks
Hybrid work schedule in Fort Lee, NJ.
Strong leadership skills and successful outcomes as a people manager.
Excellent SQL, Python, and Databricks skills.
Intuitive business and analytical skills with the ability to communicate insights to non‑technical audiences.
Deep experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and other advanced analytics methods.
Proactive, results‑driven with a proven track record of execution.
Structured thinker with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics).
Experience in a direct‑to‑consumer, financial services, or insurance sector.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range is $175,000 and above per year. The role also participates in the annual bonus program.
