The Dallas Warehouse is looking for a Material Handler to store, ship, receive, and replenish finished goods to fire sprinkler contractors by parcel, LTL, truckload, and/or private carrier.
Location: Dallas, TX
Department: Distribution Center Operations
Compensation: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Responsible for all tasks associated with the shipping and receiving functions at a distribution center
Scan barcodes with a handheld scanner to deliver materials to the target location within the warehouse
Operate a forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment
Complete and maintain daily forklift inspection reports
Assist Will‑Call customers in a courteous and helpful manner
Report any deficiencies in inventory, equipment, safety issues, or concerns to the Warehouse or Operations Supervisor
Report backorders to the Customer Service Department
Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks safely and thoughtfully, complying with all rules, procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment; maintain vigilance for hazardous conditions and report them immediately to a supervisor
Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications
High School Diploma
6+ months of warehouse experience
Experience working in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment
Experience working at heights of 50 feet or more
Proficiency in operating lift trucks, side loaders, pickers, pallet trucks, and other loading/stacking equipment
Reliability, punctuality, and a regular attendance record
Wears appropriate safety clothing (safety harness, glasses, belts, etc.) and steel‑toe shoes when required
Ability to stand for 80% of the time
Ability to lift large materials not exceeding 70 pounds
