Description Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co. is a world leader in the manufacture of fire sprinklers and related system valves as well as a major distributor of a full line of fire sprinkler system components to the fire sprinkler industry since 1920. Our Dallas Warehouse is looking for a Driver to load and unload a delivery vehicle at the distribution center and at the delivery site.
How You will Help
Operate a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and prepare material/documentation for deliveries.
Operate various warehouse equipment including forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker, and other loading/stacking equipment at warehouse and off-site during deliveries.
Operate vehicles in compliance with all DOT and Reliable safety requirements:
Maintains daily truck inspection and daily trip reports as required by USDOT
Load and unload trucks in accordance with DOT Load Securement requirements
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and logs
Check tires when loading and unloading trucks
Complete and maintain daily forklift inspection reports
Report any deficiencies in inventory, equipment, safety issues, or concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Act as backup and/or fill-in Material Handler as needed.
Assist Will-Call customers in a courteous and helpful manner.
Report backorders to Customer Service Department.
Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
Perform other duties as directed.
What You Will Bring
High School Diploma
6+ months of warehouse experience
Minimum of 6 months CDL Class B delivery driving experience
Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
Work at heights of 30 feet or more
Drive lift trucks, side loaders, pickers, pallet trucks, and other loading/stacking equipment
Be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis
Wear appropriate safety clothing (safety harness, glasses, belts, etc.) and steel toe shoes when needed
Stand for 80% of the time
Lift large materials not to exceed 70 pounds
