About the Department:
The Business Administration program emphasizes preparation for decision making in a business environment. Perimeter College faculty members have practical experience in a variety of industries. By drawing upon this experience in the classroom, they provide students with real-world examples to complement business theories.
Position Description Limited Term Instructors are full-time faculty hired on a semester to semester basis.
The position is renewable for a maximum of 3 semesters and is dependent on enrollment. The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per semester.
Providing student support and advising.
Maintaining an average of 10 office hours per week.
Working effectively and professionally with colleagues.
Teaching a mix of in-person and online classes.
Required Experience A minimum of a Master's degree required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment).
Required Education None specified.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience Prior teaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level, desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to teach Business at the collegiate level.
Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
Effective communication skills needed.
Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and ability to teach online is required.
Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations, etc None specified.
Pre-Employment Requirements A criminal background check is required.
Work Hours Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations).
Salary 10 month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
