Starting hourly rate: $20.00 per hour
Additional $2.00 shift differential for 2nd shift
Pay based on job-related experience
Schedule 2nd shift — Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
Location This position is at the St. Michael facility full time.
Essential Functions
Production/Warehouse Floor Assistance:
Monitoring of facilities, equipment, work operations, and personnel;
Perform visual monitoring of raw materials to ensure product meets specifications (quality, weight, etc.);
Perform monitoring and testing of manufacturing processes involving metal detection, injection, packaging, and/or antimicrobial interventions;
Monitor compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Good Warehouse Practices (GWPs); interact with manufacturing or distribution management as first point of contact for food safety/quality issues.
Compliance:
Comply with all workplace safety, HACCP program, and facility policy requirements; comply with GMP, GWP, SSOP, and food safety/quality management system standards.
Administrative duties:
Accurately and completely document the results of required monitoring and testing activities.
Attendance:
Regular, timely attendance to meet company and customer needs.
Other duties as assigned:
Perform special projects or activities as assigned by FSQA management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Familiar with Microsoft products with the ability to learn new systems/software applications quickly.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year of production/QA experience.
Preferred: Meat experience and ability to recognize different meat products.
Physical and Environmental Factors
Safety awareness – follow all safety laws, policies, and procedures; immediately report safety concerns to supervisor; attend, and successfully complete required safety training when applicable.
Quality awareness – comply with the requirements of GMP, SSOP, and SQF.
