GM Financial is seeking a strategic, data‑driven Growth Strategy Manager to support initiatives for our direct lending product portfolio, driving customer acquisition, retention, revenue growth, and profit margin expansion. In this role, you will lead activities related to identifying, scaling, and executing go‑to‑market product strategies for the expansion of our products into new markets and cultivating growth partnership strategies (affiliate, platform, and distribution partners).

Responsibilities GM Financial is seeking a strategic, data‑driven Growth Strategy Manager to support initiatives for our direct lending product portfolio, driving customer acquisition, retention, revenue growth, and profit margin expansion. In this role, you will be responsible for leading activities related to identifying, scaling, and executing go‑to‑market product strategies for the expansion of our products into new markets and cultivating growth partnership strategies (affiliate, platform, and distribution partners). This role will maintain in‑depth understanding of overall business and marketing objectives, while constantly analyzing outbound campaign performance for optimization opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Create actionable growth strategies that focus on expanding the user base, penetrating new markets, and increasing revenue.

Lead direct‑to‑consumer acquisition strategy, including affiliate/partner marketing and new channels.

Develop, refine, and grow a high‑performing, metrics‑driven, customer acquisition funnel.

Measure and report on the performance of partnership marketing initiatives, optimizing for new customer acquisition growth and CAC.

Continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of campaigns, adjusting demand tactics and strategy accordingly.

Design and manage controlled experiments (A/B, Multivariate, etc.) from start to finish.

Identify, evaluate, and create new strategic partnerships and product opportunities to expand distribution and customer acquisition for our emerging direct lending products.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to improve product features and user experience.

Qualifications

Experience in strategic planning and analysis.

Proven experience scaling demand generation programs through technology, data and process.

Demonstrated understanding and experience with digital and traditional marketing platforms.

Financial acumen to be able to analyze and understand the financial implications of business strategies.

Knowledge of CRM best practices in customer segmentation, audience building, personalization and measurement to drive performance.

Ability to dive into performance measurements with teams to help optimize and find key insights into performance.

Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and work with senior stakeholders.

Ability to translate broad marketing goals into technical/analytical applications and synthesize results into relevant strategic marketing recommendations.

Excellent writing, communication, time management, and project management skills.

Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority.

Ability to understand opportunities from a business, analytical, and technical lens.

A test‑and‑learn mindset and the ability to move quickly and decisively in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM systems, such as Salesforce, preferred.

Experience managing agency/vendor relationships.

Experience marketing regulated financial products or working with compliance/legal team.

Partnerships and/or business development experience in financial technology industry.

Strong financial modeling and business case development skillset.

Education & Experience

3-5 years of partnership or affiliate marketing experience required.

3-5 years of demand generation experience, or related project or program management experience preferred.

3-5 years of understanding of industry trends and how to leverage digital channels for growth preferred.

Prior experience in financial services or at a FinTech company a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Master’s Degree preferred.
