Job Description
Full-time position working for South County Psychiatry, LLC in Cranston, RI, providing telemedicine psychiatry services. Employee can telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders. Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and psychosocial factors influencing mental health. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications based on diagnostic assessments and ongoing evaluation. Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize treatment outcomes. Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, such as individual, group, or family therapy, depending on expertise and patient needs. Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care. Consult with medical colleagues and specialists regarding the physical health impact on mental health and vice versa. Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed. Coordinate with emergency services and hospitals for acute psychiatric care. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management. Shifts and schedule as assigned. Minimum Requirements
