Role Summary As an Infotainment Integration Engineer focused on Release & Automation, you will be the gatekeeper of quality for our cutting‑edge infotainment platform. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end system integration testing, ensuring all software components, hardware modules, and vehicle networks function seamlessly together. Your mission is to validate the stability, performance, and functionality of each software release through a combination of rigorous manual testing and the development of sophisticated automated test solutions. You will be a key player in the release decision process, providing critical data and insights that ensure we ship only the highest quality products.
Responsibilities
Release Validation & Integration Testing: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive end‑to‑end test plans for infotainment software releases on integrated hardware (Head Unit, Instrument Cluster, etc.) and HIL/SIL test benches.
Test Automation Development: Maintain, execute, and script robust and scalable automated test frameworks using Python, Robot Framework, or similar languages/tools. Automate regression, performance, and stability test cases to improve efficiency and test coverage.
Triage and Defect Management: Identify, document, and triage software/hardware defects with meticulous detail using tools like JIRA or similar bug‑tracking systems. Collaborate closely with software development, systems engineering, and QA teams to drive issues to resolution.
Test Environment Management: Set up and maintain complex test environments, including vehicle benches, HIL systems, and all necessary test equipment, ensuring they accurately replicate the in‑vehicle experience.
Vehicle Network Analysis: Utilize tools like CANoe, Vehicle Spy, or Wireshark to monitor and analyze vehicle network traffic (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) to debug integration issues between the infotainment system and other ECUs.
Performance and Stability Testing: Execute long‑duration stress tests, soak tests, and performance benchmarks to identify memory leaks, system crashes, and performance degradation under various real‑world conditions.
Reporting & Release Readiness: Generate clear, concise test reports and dashboards to communicate test results, defect trends, and overall release health to stakeholders. Actively participate in Go/No‑Go release meetings.
CI/CD Integration: Work with DevOps and software teams to integrate automated test suites into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to provide rapid feedback on new code commits.
