Job Description Inter‑Con is searching for aspiring individuals to join our thriving team of Security Officers. You’ll work as a member of a close team to support the broad security services we provide to valued clients daily.

Minimum Criteria Security Guards must have a minimum of 3 years of security guard experience, including at least 2 years protecting critical infrastructure or equivalent duty. Equivalent duty examples:
US Military: 2+ years in any branch, honorable discharge.
Police Officer: 2+ years, acceptable performance.
Graduate of Police or Corrections Academy (POST certified): 1 year protecting critical infrastructure.
Criminal Justice Degree (associate or higher): 1 year protecting critical infrastructure.
Homeland Security Degree: 1 year protecting critical infrastructure.
Security Guards must be physically capable: stand up to 8 hours per post, walk long distances over uneven terrain, lift 25 lbs, proficient in English, and have basic log and report writing skills.
Responsibilities
Conduct yourself professionally.
Conduct interior and exterior patrols in office, industrial, or shopping centers with medium/high volume.
Perform perimeter patrols.
Check all personnel entering facilities.
Log visitors, vehicles, vendors.
Issue visitor badges as required.
Maintain security, visitor logs, and other records.
Administer access control for vehicles entering garages or parking structures.
Operate handheld radio, cell phone, or other communication devices.
Maintain and carry company cell phone as required.
Assist employees in the orderly evacuation to muster points during fire or emergency.
Observe and report suspicious activity, using communication skills and deductive reasoning to prioritize responsibilities.
Qualifications
Speak, read, and write English.
High school diploma or equivalency.
High integrity and exemplary security judgment.
Above average computer skills.
All necessary licenses, permits, and certifications required for assignment.
Valid California Guard Card.
Pass background check.
Pass a 5‑panel drug test.
Driver’s license or state ID.
CPR certification (we can help obtain).
Work Environment and Schedule
Job operates at client sites, indoors or outdoors.
Requires prolonged standing and walking.
Open availability nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Work various shifts and holidays as assigned.
