Employment Opportunity Inter‑Con is looking for an Armed Security Officer to support critical facilities, public venues, and personal protective services. The role requires safe weapons handling and marksmanship training by highly qualified firearms instructors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct functional checks of all equipment and systems upon assuming duties and report any malfunctions following established procedures.
Perform interior and exterior patrols of designated buildings throughout the shift.
Patrol complex parking areas, garages, and other sites.
Inspect stairwells, work areas, restrooms, lobbies, and entrances during random foot patrols.
Interact verbally with employees to provide a sense of active security operations.
Remain alert for unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activities in and around the office complex.
Monitor personnel traffic entering, exiting, and moving inside buildings.
Observe activities in main lobbies, maintaining safety and security of work areas.
Respond to emergencies involving the office complex.
Specific Requirements
Military service that included law‑enforcement or security duties or support in a combat zone.
Eight years' active service in any military branch.
Bachelor's degree in law‑enforcement or criminal justice.
Associate degree in law‑enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service.
Graduation from a certified public safety academy in law‑enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting.
