Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr
A growing tax and advisory firm in Omaha is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Certified Public Accountant to join its team as a Tax Director. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys client‑facing work, proactive tax planning, and operating in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment with strong long‑term growth potential.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and review individual (1040) and business tax returns (1065, 1120, 1120S)
Develop tax projections and advise clients on forward‑looking planning opportunities
Lead client meetings to discuss financial strategies, liabilities, and next steps
Support accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processes across the firm
Stay up to date on tax law changes and identify new planning opportunities
Maintain clean, organized workpapers and documentation
Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiency
What We’re Looking For
Active CPA license (or near completion)
3+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry
Strong knowledge of tax law and accounting principles
Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business returns
Excellent communication skills and a client‑first mindset
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
Experience with tax/accounting software (Drake, QuickBooks, or similar)
