Full‑time, exempt junior faculty position at Loyola University Chicago (Chicago‑Water Tower Campus), starting Fall 2026. Teaching load is four courses per year.
Responsibilities The Quinlan School of Business invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of assistant professor. Candidates are expected to teach upper‑division undergraduate courses in Monetary Economics and/or Money and Banking, and may also teach other departmental courses such as introductory and intermediate macroeconomics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in monetary economics, a record of high‑quality scholarly research, and an appreciation of the university’s Jesuit mission.
Expectations include:
high‑quality scholarly research , teaching excellence, engagement in service commensurate with rank, and the potential for impactful research and service.
Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field by the date of appointment.
Interest, ability, and willingness to support curriculum and scholarship in monetary economics and/or money and banking.
Salary and Benefits Salary Range:
$140,000 – $160,000 (nine‑month academic appointment). The offer is determined by experience, qualifications, training, field, budget, internal equity, and external market pay. Salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances.
