Quinlan School of Business, Assistant Professor of Economics, Tenure Track
The Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning Fall 2026. Candidates should be able to teach upper‑division undergraduate courses in Monetary Economics and/or Money and Banking, as well as other courses depending on departmental needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach upper‑division undergraduate courses in Monetary Economics and/or Money and Banking, as well as other courses as needed (e.g., introductory and intermediate macroeconomics). • Demonstrate evidence of quality teaching and the potential for excellent research. • Engage in service commensurate with rank and contribute to the university’s mission.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field by the date of appointment. • Demonstrated expertise in Monetary Economics and/or Money and Banking. • Evidence of teaching excellence, research potential, and service engagement. • Ability to support curriculum and scholarship in the domain of monetary economics and/or money and banking.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 (nine‑month academic appointment). Additional salary may be offered in limited circumstances based on experience, training, and internal equity.
