is working with a growing construction-focused organization to find an Accounting Manager. This hands‑on role manages daily accounting functions while partnering with leadership to provide financial insights and ensure operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all core accounting activities, including AP, AR, payroll, job costing, and financial reporting
Lead month‑end and year‑end close cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Analyze financial statements, track variances, and prepare forecasts to support decision‑making
Monitor budgets and project costs, ensuring proper allocation and alignment with contracts
Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering development and strong collaboration
Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures
Support audits, tax filings, and compliance with accounting standards
Improve and optimize accounting systems and processes
Qualifications
8+ years of accounting experience, with leadership or senior‑level exposure
Strong understanding of GAAP and construction accounting practices (WIP, percentage‑of‑completion, AIA billing, bonding)
Hands‑on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Proven ability to lead a small team in a collaborative environment
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software
