Whether improving speed to capability, redefining readiness, modernizing IT infrastructure, or integrating and securing digital assets, VTG delivers. What will you do? Maintain a strong awareness of technical trends in information technology. Develop and maintain a strong awareness of on-going IT projects and business unit requirements. Apply the project management model (e.g., Spiral, Waterfall, Agile) selected for a given development effort. Provide analysis, design, development, deployment, and lifecycle support for innovative hardware systems and applications. Develop end-to-end cost analysis for projects. Ensure systems being developed comply with the enterprise technical architecture. Help project and program teams prepare for Project Management Program control gates. Keep senior management apprised of project or program status. Do you have what it takes? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field) OR 10 Year(s) Experience in Systems Engineering, DoD systems architectures, design, development, and/or test and evaluation. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of: Communication and Briefing Skills Conceptual Knowledge of US Navy Combat Systems Comprehensive Understanding of Navy Weapon System Performance Configuration Management Concepts DoD / DoN Procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 Process) DoD T&E organizational and functional structures (NAVSEA, field activities, other contracted support) Expertise in Test and Evaluation Master Planning Expertise in Test Requirements, Test Planning, Scheduling and Execution Expertise in Test Data Analytics as it relates to predictive analysis Security Classification Guides (as applicable) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Familiarity with Program and Personnel Management Risk Management Policies and Assessment Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
