Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) is seeking a Manager 3, Manufacturing Operations Engineering and Analysis for the MS Manufacturing organization.

This position is located outside of Baltimore, Maryland and reports to the Director, Operations Engineering and Product Development Labs. The

Manufacturing Operations Engineering and Analysis Manager

is responsible for providing functional management to the Manufacturing Operations Engineering and Analysis Department and strategic leadership across the Baltimore Manufacturing organization.

The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Operations Engineering and Analysis Manager include:

Lead and manage the capital plan for BWI Manufacturing. Track and report on progress to the approved plans for capital projects and overall project execution and compliance up to completion and close out.

Collaborate with capital POCs, Manufacturing leadership, and MS Sector to ensure project performance achieves approved baseline plans for all capital projects and aligns to approved allocation.

Develop and maintain long term strategic facility plans for BWI Manufacturing’s capital facility and equipment needs. Work with the Manufacturing and Facilities Leadership teams to coordinate and direct activities within Manufacturing to develop and execute the Manufacturing capital facility plan.

Lead the development and sustainment of several reports, tools, and other data solutions that are critical to the success of Operations, such as demand forecasting and performance tracking.

Manage the Operations resource planning for the BWI site. Direct the development and sustainment of tools and data visualization solutions that are critical to the success of Operations, which includes demand forecasting and performance tracking.

Provide leadership and technical expertise in the Industrial Engineering discipline (work measurement, efficiency, optimization, affordability, continuous improvement, scheduling, capacity planning and systems & data analysis).

Introduce new concepts and techniques for scheduling, data analysis and simulation to enhance manufacturing planning.

Demonstrate the leadership ability to challenge traditional methods, champion change and execute improvements within the Manufacturing environment.

Lead capacity management plans to achieve long range strategic production.

Execute workload forecasting, hiring, performance management and compensation planning.

Lead employee engagement, mentoring and career development activities.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment OR a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience as described

Experience leading people, projects and/or programs across diverse technical and non-technical teams

Experience leading other people leaders

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. This requires US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and/or certification in Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma or Value Engineering

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline

Advanced degree in a technical, business or management field from an accredited university

10+ years of Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering experience

Experience with SAP and MRP

Active Secret Clearance

Salary Range:

$172,500 - $258,700

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
