Software System Engineering and Integration Lead – (ADV000BH8)
Join GeoControl Systems, a HUBZone company that requires applicants to reside in a qualified HUBZone. This position is for a Software System Engineering and Integration Lead supporting NASA’s Gateway project and the EX5 Branch.
Overview As the Software System Engineering and Integration Lead, you will review the entire Gateway project, ensure required artifacts are in place, meet requirements, and oversee toolchain coverage efficiently. You will collaborate with NASA teams, other contractors, and the Gateway HALO team.
Responsibilities
Design and document software architecture to satisfy requirements, understanding as needed.
Ensure requirements are met and supported by appropriate artifacts.
Maintain and improve tooling including DOORS Next Gen (DNG).
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, project management, and customer teams.
Provide coordinated support between engineering and other organizations/programs.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Software web development experience beyond trivial web programming and integration.
Knowledge of full‑stack software development (front end, middleware, database).
Experience with requirements and verification workflows and artifacts.
Strong experience with database tools, data flows, and user interfaces.
Creative mindset to develop new tools and processes.
Strong collaboration, communication, and integration skills.
Strong DOORS Next Gen (DNG) knowledge is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5‑10 years of related experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination with internal and external customers.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to prepare written documents, presentations, and present verbally at meetings.
Preferences
Previous experience working with NASA.
Software development knowledge in React, TypeScript, APIs, and databases.
