Base pay range $26.50/yr - $45.67/yr
Job Summary The ACL Analyst 1 participates in the analytics, accounting and reporting of Loan Accounting, Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) under the Current Expected Credit Loses (CECL) allowance methodology, and related regulatory and financial reporting. ACL Analyst 1 will assist the Senior CECL Analyst in the preparation of the quarterly ACL estimation and related analysis.
ACL / CECL
Assist with preparing and reviewing the ACL computations, supporting analyses, and documenting results.
Assist with the analysis of ACL methodology and associated reporting materials, which includes the ACL reporting packet for the quarterly ACL Council and the ACL Committee, and documentation for the Annual Methodology Review.
Refinement of current and development of new quantitative model used for CECL.
Communicate with ACL Council to identify and assess emerging credit risks that may impact the ACL computations.
Research and resolve data integrity issues impacting the ACL and related reports.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the CECL Model and all related documentation.
Assist in calculating, analyzing, and documenting modeling assumptions and parameters.
Assist in validating model results, interpreting results, documenting model changes results and various assumptions.
Assist with stress test and sensitivity analysis of the Banks’ loan portfolio.
Prepare financial review of third-party relationship.
Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly / annual financial reports as required, such as the Bank’s Call Report and Annual Financial Report.
Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and changes to rules and regulations.
Assist in the writing of accounting position memos, meeting minutes and policies.
Accounting & Other Duties
Prepare reconciliation and monthly certification.
Perform other duties and projects assigned.
Assist with the completion of the Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) and Internal Control Trest (ICT) process.
Comply with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.
Required Knowledge
Knowledge of Loan Accounting and ACL modeling & guidance.
Intermediate Accounting or Analysis knowledge.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership across all areas of the Bank to professionally deliver clear and concise analysis and reporting.
Preferred Knowledge
Knowledge of quantitative forecasting models, financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
Understanding of credit risk, financial risk, operations risk, and their processes.
Knowledge of Lending or Credit Administration.
Experience with Financial Reporting, such as management reporting, CALL Report, and Annual Financial Report.
Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL
Basic Skills and Abilities
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Must be able to quickly learn new software applications or systems.
Clear understanding of the English language.
For qualified positions, the Bank may designate Officer Titles to employees who meet defined competencies for an eligible position. This position is not eligible for an Officer Title.

Education and Experience
4+ years’ experience in financial analysis, statistical modeling, financial reporting or credit risk analysis; of which, a minimum of 2 years in either ACL or Risk Management
Banking or financial institution industry experience.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information system, or risk management is preferred.
Experience in Sageworks, Moody’s, or other ACL software.
Experience with Jack Henry system or other core banking system.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Requires lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Office setting w/controlled temperature.
As a part of the Bank’s internal control systems, employees holding sensitive positions are required to be absent from their duties for a minimum of two consecutive weeks each year. This position has been deemed to meet the test for a sensitive position, and therefore you will be required to meet the minimum absence requirement every year.
