The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes. This position works closely with management to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and improve accounting efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
Assist with tax filings and compliance as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial reporting and process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
