Job Description
AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We seek a Cloud AI System Engineer, Level 3, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
Base pay range:
$120,000 - $146,000 per year
Location:
Annapolis Junction, Maryland (on‑site, in a SCIF environment – no remote or hybrid)
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph required
Certifications:
None required
Mission:
Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications; analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities
Required Expertise:
Cloud Architecture / Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineering (especially AWS); AI/ML system design and implementation – high‑level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring); experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps; experience with Amazon SageMaker a plus; excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders; system security and networking on classified systems; data engineering and data lifecycle management
Responsibilities
Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
Develop technical documentation, system architecture and design documents
Guide system development and implementation planning, including preparation of system engineering management plans and integration and test plans
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues or conflicts; maintain technical integrity of work and deliverables
Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED plus 12 years of general systems engineering experience; or
Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field plus 7 years of systems engineering experience; or
Master's degree in a qualified engineering field plus 5 years of systems engineering experience; or
Ph.D. in a qualified engineering field plus 3 years of systems engineering experience
