An established global technology and infrastructure organization is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of next-generation AI data center developments. Based in Austin, Texas, this position will lead high-impact projects that support large-scale compute infrastructure critical to the advancement of AI and cloud computing.
You will take full ownership of project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management—partnering closely with design, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure delivery excellence and operational readiness across multiple global sites.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Develop, manage, and control integrated project schedules across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases (Primavera P6, MS Project).
Lead the end-to-end delivery of hyperscale data center projects, ensuring adherence to time, budget, and quality objectives.
Drive weekly project reviews and earned‑value performance tracking for leadership visibility.

Own project budgets, forecasts, and change‑order governance.
Prepare and maintain accurate cash‑flow projections and cost variance reports.
Manage contract lifecycles— from RFP and bid analysis through award and closeout.
Identify and mitigate risks related to critical‑path and long‑lead items (e.g., transformers, chillers, switchgear).
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to maintain schedule alignment and issue resolution.
Provide clear, concise progress reports to leadership, partners, and external stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead multidisciplinary teams of project managers, construction managers, and superintendents.
Develop resource plans, performance objectives, and coaching frameworks to foster continuous improvement.
Facilitate project stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of project management experience within data centers, industrial, or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Certification preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
Proven track record of managing fast‑track, multi‑region projects from design through commissioning.
Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
Proficiency in scheduling and cost management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Ares, Excel).
Experience with collaboration tools (Smartsheet, Confluence).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites.
