Base pay range $180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
I am looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead large-scale data center construction and capital improvement programs for an Owner Operator. This role will oversee full lifecycle delivery across scope, budget, timeline, quality, and risk for major mission‑critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead program management for new data center builds and major upgrades, owning scope, schedule, and budget.
Drive continuous improvements in cost efficiency, schedule performance, and overall project quality.
Review constructability for electrical, mechanical, and building systems for both new builds and optimization of existing facilities.
Develop program scope, support RFP processes, assist in contractor awards, and support capital request approvals.
Ensure total program quality, including commissioning support and integrated system testing oversight.
Manage RFIs, coordinate with design teams, and oversee construction administration.
Track, report, and communicate key metrics to internal teams and leadership.
Manage multiple concurrent programs across new construction and existing facility upgrades.
Provide leadership to internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders supporting data center delivery.
Travel to active sites for constructability reviews, startup testing, and full commissioning.
Strengthen processes for scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management.
Coordinate with regional program leadership to support cash flow forecasting and budget alignment.
Assist in evaluating owner changes and assessing impacts to baseline schedules and budgets.
Oversee monthly billing processes.
Utilize expert-level scheduling skills using Primavera P6, including schedule risk analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo), critical path analysis, and resource leveling.
Support program teams in maintaining up-to-date project data and generating periodic management reports.
Skills & Requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
4+ years of experience delivering complex construction programs over $250M, ideally within mission‑critical or digital infrastructure environments.
4+ years of experience working with electrical, mechanical, controls, security, fire safety, networking/fiber systems, utilities, preconstruction, execution, and project closeout.
Proven track record of successful cost and schedule management on major projects.
Technical & Professional Skills
Experience with design or construction of large data center facilities (colocation or owner‑operated).
Strong vendor and contractor management experience, including negotiation and performance oversight.
Excellent communication and cross‑functional coordination skills.
Experience with fast‑track design/build delivery and/or significant upgrade programs.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary internal teams.
Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling capabilities, including cost‑ and resource‑loaded schedule development.
