IFG's non‑profit client, located in Chicago, is looking to add not one, but two Senior Financial Analyst candidates to their growing team! If you're the type of person that likes to get their hands dirty, roll up your sleeves, and be a part of a newly developed finance team, this is the role for you. The roles report to the VP Finance.
Their official in-office policy is 3 days a week, but during the training period, you'll be onsite 4 days a week.
Compensation starts at $105K base and goes to $120K.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Forecasting
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Partner with department leaders to collect input and ensure plans align with overall strategic objectives.
Management Reporting
Develop and deliver monthly management reports for senior leadership.
Evaluate financial results versus budget, forecast, and prior year performance.
Identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing clear insights and recommendations to enhance results.
Recommend and drive corrective actions where needed to improve financial outcomes.
Systems and Process Improvements
Support the implementation and optimization of a planning and budgeting software platform.
Train users and promote adoption across the organization.
Continuously refine forecasting and budgeting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and value to stakeholders.
Introduce and maintain best practices in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a strategic finance partner to business units, offering analysis and guidance to inform decisions.
Promote a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and transparency throughout the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degrees in Finance or Accounting.
4+ years of progressive experience in finance/financial planning and analysis.
Strong skills in financial modeling and Excel.
Proficient within NetSuite Planning and Budgeting is preferred.
Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau is preferred.
